My baby brother turns 8 today! I can't believe it's been 8 years already! I was there when he was born and have enjoyed watching him grow up. He wanted a pirate party for his birthday today so I put one together. He and a bunch of his friends (all boys, "no girls allowed" according to him) got together in the park and had a ton of fun. Afterward, we went to his house and had an extended family dinner, which was also a lot of fun. Happy birthday, Jared!
We started out with cake since it was a hot day and it was starting to melt, plus we were waiting for everyone to arrive to start the real fun

The real fun began with a treasure hunt - the boys were given a clue in a bottle and they had to decipher it to get to the next clue in a bottle and so on until they found the ultimate treasure...

And then, present time!
At home, Jared blew out candles on the cupcakes since there was too much wind at the park to keep the candles lit on the cake
Last but not least, Claire serenaded us with her version of "Happy Birthday"
