You may or may not know this about me, but I love random things. I enjoy seeing a couch on the side of the freeway or a sock in the middle of the road. It makes me giggle and I love to giggle. Well, today we went to Wal Mart and I noticed a couple random things that I enjoyed seeing...

Claire's First Christmas
Just for fun, here's a picture of me Christmas morning 2008,
8 weeks pregnant:
And the moment I have been longing for ever since,
Christmas morning 2009 with my sweet baby:
Our cute little tree with a fire in the fireplace. So cozy!
Opening presents
I got her her first ornament
But she wanted to play with the bag instead
And it's way more fun to eat the paper than to see what's in it
Heaven!
Matching mommy/daughter slippers. Thanks, Aunt Meredith!
She was super excited about this toy. Thanks, Aunt Liz!

Our New Place
Guess what else we did today? We moved! We are now located in a spacious apartment about 10 minutes north of our old location. Merry Christmas to us!

Merry Christmas Eve!
Today I went to the mall (crazy, I know) and stood in line for an hour to see Santa. I knew I would regret it if I didn't get a picture with Santa for Claire's first Christmas and I have been completely swamped and there was no other time than today. I arrived halfway through Santa's break and got right in line behind 2 or 3 other families. I thought, "Sweet! I only have to stand in line for 30 minutes until he comes back." Slowly, families started getting in line ahead of us. It turns out that before Santa went on his break, ten families were in line and they were given first priority when he came back. So, there pretty much was no way I could have waited any less than an hour. I don't want to know how long it took for the people in the back of the line. I was pretty lucky. Plus, Claire was such a good baby the whole time. When it was time for Santa to return, the kids all spotted him coming down the escalator. I thought this image was pretty funny.
The hour-long wait and the pricey photo were worth this shot and I have zero regrets.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

One Year Ago
Exactly one year ago, I found out I was pregnant. Eight months later (to the day), Claire was born. Today, she turns 4 months old. When we announced my pregnancy on Christmas last year, we were all having a hard time believing that we would have a 4-month old the following Christmas. I can't believe that time has come!

On Saturday, December 5, 1992, I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I think it's neat that it falls on a Saturday this year. I only wish I could locate the picture taken on my baptism day. I know it's around here somewhere...
