Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so fun this year, especially since it was Claire's first! I decided to dress her up as Piglet since she's my little piggy (always hungry.) She'll hate me for it later. But she was so darn cute! I tried to find a costume for her, but the only ones I could find were 18-month and over $30. So, I went to Michael's and bought some foam stuff for 99 cents and made it myself. I'm not the crafty type, so I'm really proud of the way it turned out. Tonight, we went to our ward's Halloween carnival and trunk-or-treat. I took Claire around to all the cars and I was happy to have an excuse to go trick-or-treating. :)

Our poor little pumpkin this morning. We decided not to display it

Sweet little Piglet

Jared is Pooh, Mom is Tigger, I'm Eeyore and Claire is Piglet

All worn out and we haven't even started

I worked the cake walk at the carnival

Hey, I put the whole cake walk together, so I'm allowed to eat a cupcake

Yes, I look ridiculous, but that's what Halloween's for, right?

Taken at the carnival. I suggested Douglas be Christopher Robin, but he decided to dress up in medieval clothing and go to another party instead. What a party pooper.

Pumpkin Carving

Tonight we went to a pumpkin-carving party. We had amazing food and Douglas carved Claire's little pumpkin.

Busy carving away

It's coming along

He carved it to look like Claire (complete with drool.) See the resemblance?

More pictures to come...

Pirate Party

Tonight, we all dressed up as pirates and went to a friend's pirate party. I'm not really into pirates, but this was pretty darn fun.

Isn't she just the cutest pirate baby?

Pirate family

We went with a bunch of friends

Matching daddy/daughter boots. Check out those thighs. (She won't hate me at all when she's older for posting this)

She looks like a boy (the photographer called her "buddy")

Our table won the pirate quiz so we won chocolate and In N Out gift cards

The photographer caught me nursing (it's what I'm usually doing)

Douglas sang karaoke

All worn out. Time to go home

Daddy's Little Pumpkin

We took Claire to her first pumpkin patch at Nate's Butt Farm and we had a great time acting like kids.

She's giving me a quizzical look because I busted out laughing when I put this giant bow on her head

They all decided it would be fun to pile in the outhouse. I opted out of that one.

We had fun posing our little pumpkin

Yeah...

Douglas and I are the parents and Claire and Josiah are the kids

Daddy's grumpy little pumpkin

One of these things is not like the other

This is my favorite picture of the day

All zonked out, but with our very own pumpkin

Birth Certificate

Claire is official! We met my midwife at Vital Records and got Claire a birth certificate. Then we all went to lunch in Old Town. It's been a fun day.

She's dancing (one of her favorite things to do)

My midwife holding Claire (little miss grumpy gus is not happy because I woke her up to take this picture)

Michelle's Cake

I just wanted to show off this piano cake my mom made for Michelle. Ice cream sandwiches for keys!

Claire's First General Conference

We watched conference with Daddy

And hung out with good friends

Life doesn't get much better than that.
